UP-UP Chocolate

The UP-UP Chocolate collection at Escape Boutique is chocolate with a proper backstory. Made in Edinburgh, UP-UP set out to fix something the industry mostly glosses over: not just where the cocoa comes from, but how the people growing it are treated.

• Single estate Colombian cocoa: Every bar uses fine flavour beans from one farm, El Rosario, in the Necoclí region on Colombia's north eastern coast. Traceable back to the source rather than blended from anywhere and everywhere.
• Certified slave free: UP-UP works with slavefreetrade.org to verify the people in the supply chain, not just the commodity. It's the difference between knowing where your chocolate grew and knowing who grew it.
• Sea salt dark, 50% cacao: Nutty notes of roasted hazelnut with a soft, rounded finish and a whisper of sea salt. Suitable for vegans, 120g, £4.75.
